Trawling Swaziland for Blind People

Sikalela drives through Swaziland looking for people who are blind due to cataracts. He then transports them to the hospital where they receive an operation to remove the cataract. Two days later Sikalela drives them back home, their sight restored!

Sikalela's service costs R70 000 a year. We have run out of funding for his service, if you know someone who can help please email me on vula.swaziland@gmail.com

First post from Swaziland - Welcome to the Vula World

Vula means Open in Seswati, the national language of Swaziland. Vula is the country's eye surgery service and literally opens peoples' eyes through cataract surgery. In a matter of a a few days we can restore someone's sight. We need your support to continue our service.
